Vaginal Laxity 陰道鬆弛

Six reasons for vaginal relaxation:

  1. Pregnancy: Long-term pressure on the uterine ligaments and pelvic floor muscles causes tearing of the pelvic muscles and fascia, and the related supporting ligaments become loose. Multiple pregnancies or multiple births can make vaginal relaxation more serious.

  2. Trauma: Birth injuries during childbirth, injuries during induced labor, multiple deliveries, long labor, laparotomy, episiotomy, and other forms of injury can all cause varying degrees of damage to the genitals.

  3. Sex: Having a long sexual history, frequent sex, and special techniques may cause the vagina to become loose and enlarged.

  4. Abdominal pressure: Long-term chronic abdominal pressure, such as standing for a long time, lifting heavy objects, obesity, chronic cough, long-term constipation, etc., causes increased abdominal pressure and puts a burden on the genitals.

  5. Decline: With age and the gradual decline of ovarian function, especially after menopause, the vagina will naturally age, become loose, dry and lack elasticity; unhealthy lifestyle habits, rapid weight gain or loss, stress, chemotherapy, and even medications such as antidepressants may affect hormones in the body, causing a series of changes in the vagina.

  6. Other causes: genetic disorders of collagen metabolism, so-called congenital vaginal relaxation, but usually with other symptoms.
